Meet & Greet - Norfolk County's new Sheriff, Jerome P. McDermott

Please join the Norfolk Sheriff’s Office in conjunction with the Norwood Council on Aging on Thursday, February 14, 2019 at 1:00 P.M  at the Norwood Council on Aging for a meet & greet with Norfolk County’s new Sheriff, Jerome P. McDermott.

Sheriff McDermott looks forward to meeting the residents of Norwood and discussing programs available to all Norwood seniors.
Refreshments will be served.

Senior Tax Work Off Announcement

The Town of Norwood by vote of the special town meeting in March of 2004 has accepted the "Senior Tax Work-off Program" as outlined in Ch127 s.59 of the acts of 1999.

Residents 60 years of age and older are eligible to work off up to $750 in property taxes a year at the minimum wage rate ($12.00 per hour) provided they meet certain guidelines.

Hey Norwood! It's time for the annual Boston Bruins PJ Drive! Between February 1st and March 15th, drop off a pair of NEW, unused PJs and help kids across the Commonwealth stay warm this winter. This year, we're taking the drive to a whole new level!

INTERFACE Mental Health Referral Helpline

Norwood is proud to announce that we have officially launched the INTERFACE Mental Health Referral Helpline. This is a free, confidential mental health outpatient referral service for children, adults, and families. Callers are matched with licensed mental health providers from  INTERFACE’s extensive database.   Helpline: 888-244-6843 Monday-Friday 9am-5pm
