The General Manager is appointed by the Board of Selectmen and is charged with the management of most operating departments of the Town. The General Manager is also Chief Procurement Officer for purchasing and contract activities that occur through the Purchasing Department. The Norwood Town Charter, Sections 8 through 16, established the powers, duties and responsibilities of the General Manager.
