Town Awarded MVP Grant for flood risk reduction, habitat restoration
Norwood has been awarded $682,421 from the state as part of the Municipal Vulnerability Preparedness grant program. The money will be used to remove Mill Pond Dam in Pezwick Park, a Conservation property off of Sumner St. In addition to reducing flood risk, the project will restore important Brook Trout habitat in the cold water fishery of Traphole Brook.
