Filing a Complaint
If you wish to register a complaint against the Norwood Police Department or its employees, you may stop by or call the police station anytime and ask to speak with a supervisor in regard to the matter. You may be asked to fill out an internal investigation form before further investigative matters are taken. The form will be provided to you upon your visit.
Commend a Norwood Police Department Employee
Each year we have thousands of contacts with our community within the Town of Norwood. Our Officers often interact with members of the community in their most vulnerable moments, during stressful, and volatile situations. We encourage active feedback from all community members that have had a positive experience with the officers of our police department, or feel a difficult situation was handled that exceeded expectations.
Frequently, many of our officers exceed the expectations of the public by providing exceptional service that surpasses the norm. If you observe a Norwood Police Officer performing their duties in a manner that you think is exceptional and reflects favorably upon that officer and the Norwood Police Department, then please let us know about it.
Officers take great pride in being recognized by members of the community when they have performed their duties in an exceptional manner.

How to Commend a Norwood Police Department Employee
Please contact the employee’s supervisor as soon after the event as possible. You may make the commendation at any time and to any supervisor.
