About Norwood Airport

Since 1946, Norwood Memorial Airport has served a Who's Who of users, from private citizens and government agencies to corporate officers, businesses and recreational enthusiasts. Only 12 air miles from downtown Boston, we operate 24 hours a day, seven days a week.

We're also conveniently located next to several major highways, including Interstate 95 and US Route 1.

                                                               Driving miles from Norwood to:
  Boston 22 miles
  Providence 31 miles
  Mass Turnpike 14 miles
  Worcester 48 miles

Norwood Airport is one of 37 public use facilities in the Commonwealth of Massachusetts to offer general aviation services. So while we're not certificated for scheduled commercial flights, we do handle air charter services through some of our on-site commercial businesses.

Other services include: aircraft/avionics maintenance, fueling, aerial surveys and photography, videography, air cargo, sightseeing flights, electronic newsgathering, traffic reporting, aerial spraying, airborne law enforcement support, flight instruction and aircraft rentals. Our weather station also provides up-to-the-minute meteorological conditions, and these are carried by news stations throughout the day.
