Classical pianist and composer Alfred Watson will delight his audience with a magical hour-long performance and lecture centered around the music of the Nutcracker at 3:00 pm on Sunday, December 5, 2010. This program is part of the Fall 2010 Musical Sundays Series.
In this original presentation, "The Nutcracker Suite: A Christmas Story by Peter Ilyich Tchaikovsky," Mr. Watson will perform pieces from this beloved holiday classic and describe how the ballet was created, when and where it was first performed, and what Tchaikovsky experienced while composing this enduring masterpiece.
