Town of Norwood

   The Assessors office is the main source of income for the Town.  We derive our income from tax revenues, real estate, personal property and motor vehicle exise tax.  We are responsible for updating and maintaining property ownership records, personal property records, exempt property records and Town owned property records.  Along with subdivision record apportioned street and sewer records.  Other dutes include reviewing and maintaining building permits, tax exempt appeals, tax apeal cases ,appelate tax board cases,   motor vehicle exise appeals and new business certificates.  Responsible for real estate, personal
property and motor vehicle commitments.
