Welcome to Norwood!

Trash carts are for household residential trash ONLY. The town asks for your compliance to keep MA State Waste Bans out of the trash cart.

Did you know?
Seventy five percent of what we no longer want or need IS recyclable, therefore trash can be drastically reduced by 75% !

What about stuff too big for the trash cart? more info coming shortly

If you find your trash is increasing, please call Doris Burtman at 781.255.9988 or email This e-mail address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it you must have a second trash cart, please call town hall at 781.762.1240. An application and fee are required at town hall for an additional trash cart.

Hopefully the prior owners have left the recycle and trash carts in the garage or in another secure location. Be sure you search your property (inside and outside) before contacting the General Manager's Office.

Click Trash recycle by street or call DPW @781.762.1413 to find out what day of the week your recycle/trash will be serviced. Click Recycle Often. Recycle Right to view what materials are acceptable in the recycle cart.
Also, click Recyclable Papers List to view all the papers accepted in the recycle cart.

The Winter Street Compost Site has drop off reuse/recycling containers for:
Rigid Plastics
Scrap Metals
