Welcome to the Civic Center, home of the Norwood Recreation Department.  We are a full service Community Center, with much to offer the residents of the Town of Norwood. The Civic Center has three floors, and each level has many functions.

GROUND FLOOR

 The ground floor is where our main office is located.  This office serves as the main source of information for the Department.  Residents can enroll in a program, rent a meeting room, obtain a field permit, purchase a membership, “check in” for the day, or obtain answers to questions about what’s happening around town, programs, and upcoming events.  The ground floor also houses offices, meeting rooms, a game room, men’s and women’s locker rooms with sauna and showers.  Also located on the ground floor is our workout center which houses a full service workout facility

FIRST FLOOR

Our main attraction here is our gymnasium that houses many of our programs that we offer.  In our gym we offer programs such as basketball, floor hockey, dance instruction, aerobics, gymnastics, and special programs. 

The first floor is also the focal point of many other activities.  Meeting rooms with a capacity of 65 people, a fully equipped kitchen, and a full service arts and crafts room house many of our programs, as well as community meetings.

SECOND FLOOR

The second floor is the home of the School of Dance with its studio and parents’ room.  It will also serve as a room for women’s programs, from Yoga to self-defense.  Also located on the second floor is the newly dedicated Lydon Suite in honor of Anne and Dr. Roy Lydon.
