Community Preservation Act

At the 2016 spring Special Town Meeting, Town Meeting Members voted to adopt the Community Preservation Act (CPA) by a vote of 124 to 28. Adoption of the CPA is a two-step process that requires both Town Meeting approval and a local ballot question. At the November 8, 2016 election the adoption of the CPA passed by 3,229 votes; 8,930 in favor and 5,701 opposed.

The next step in the process of getting the Community Preservation Act up and running in Norwood is the adoption of the Town's Community Preservation Bylaw. The CPA Bylaw will be voted on at the May 8, 2017 Special Town Meeting.
