Permit Applications

The following permits are issued by the Board of Selectmen and can be requested by completing and forwarding to the Selectmen the appropriate application:

Banners
This permit allows an organization to hang a banner across Washington Street for a specified period of time.  The banner must meet specifications established by the Light Department and will be installed and removed by the Light Department. Please contact the Selectman's office directly for this Permit. 

Block Party
This permit allows a neighborhood to hold a gathering in the public way.  Please include in your request the streets you wish to block off. Please contact the Selectman's office directly for this Permit.

Car Wash
This permit allows a non-profit organization, such as a scouting troop or athletic team, to hold a car wash on Saturdays from April through October in the municipal parking lot across from the Recreation Department.

Outdoor Dining
The Seasonal Outdoor Dining Permit allows a restaurant to have outdoor seating on a seasonal basis.

Road Race
This permit allows an organization to hold a road race on public ways. Please contact the Selectman's office directly for this Permit.

Special One Day Liquor License
This permit allows an organization to serve alcohol on a specific day for an event.

Town Common & Walter J. Dempsey Memorial Bandstand
This permit allows a group to hold a gathering on the Town Common or the Gazebo for an approved purpose on a specific day.

Town Parks
This permit allows a group to hold a gathering or event on one of the Town-owned parks. Please contact the Selectman's office directly for this Permit.

Morse House Property
This permit allows a group to hold a gathering or event on the Morse House Property
