About the Town Clerk Accountant

Effective July 1, 2018 the Town Charter changed to separate the positions of Town Clerk and Town Accountant. In the more than 100 years since the Charter was adopted, the original combined position has been held by only 5 individuals:

Thomas J. McQuaid, CPA 2015 - 2018
Robert M. Thornton, CPA 1979 - 2015
Bartley W. Connolly 1957 - 1978
Walter A. Blasenek 1940 - 1957
James E. Pendergast 1916 - 1939

MaryLou Folan graduated from Norwood High School prior to earning her Associates Degree. In addition to her duties as Town Clerk , Marylou serves on the Board of Registrars.
