Norwood Day Buttons will help support activities and allow for free food tasting, kiddie rides, trolleys, rock climbing and racing. Cost of buttons before event are $3.00 each, ($5.00 day of event)
Parade starts at 9:30 a.m. at the Library, goes through town and ends at the Walter J. Dempsey gazebo.
It seems that, every year, Norwood Day continues to grow in both attendance and a greater variety of activities for its residents. This year we reached an estimated 16,000 people and provided a new interactive Van-Games 2 Go.
The success of Norwood Day would not be possible without the continuous support from our business community who share our vision. A big Thank You to the Town Square Diner (who, every year, generously donates a hearty breakfast to start us off), the Norwood Bank, Chestnut Hill Realty, Dedham Savings, Gillooly Funeral Home, TD Bank, Rockland Trust, Bank of Canton, Rojo's, K & M Studios, and Republic Plumbing.
We would also like to thank the Norwood Town Departments who always help on Norwood Day: Department of Public Works, Police Department, Fire Department, Light Department, School Department, Engineering Department, REACT, and the Recreation Department.
In addition, we would like to thank all those who helped make Norwood Day the great day it has become: Committee Members and Volunteers-Martha Colamaria, Bernie Cooper, Travis Farley, Katie Seastedt, Lee Kennedy, Linda Rau, Jean Taylor, Howard Weinstein, Mary and Mary Kate Taggart, Dorothy Prevoir, Linda Reilly, the Freshmen Football Team who help us to set up early in the morning, and Teen Challenge of New England for breaking down all tables at the end of the day!
