Warrant Team

On August 28, 2012 Chief William Brooks formed the Norwood Police Department Warrant Apprehension Team. The team is currently overseen by Lt. Benedetti and Sgt. Brett Baker.

The team is assigned to tracking down defendants wanted for defaulting on court cases specifically brought on by NPD. The team will also work in apprehending defendants within Norwood who may have defaulted on a case initiated by an outside agency.

Defendants are separated into two different categories:

Priority One - Individuals arrested for violent crimes, drug abuse, operating under the influence or individuals who have more than one outstanding warrant.

Priority Two - Includes warrants for all other crimes.

The Norwood Police encourage citizens to check www.massmostwanted.org when possible to see if they are able to identify any wanted persons.
