Examination Details

The Norwood Police Department administers a Police Officer Entrance Examination every two years. The exam will be a POST Commission approved LEO examination. The passing grade of the examination will be 70.

Candidates who participate in the Preliminary Interviews will then be required to participate in the Department issued physical fitness test (PT Test). The PT Test will be administered by the Selection Coordinator and members of the Norwood Police Department. The test will be a measurement of the candidate’s academy readiness.
