Statement on Charlwell Nursing Home

The COVID-19 pandemic has taken an unimaginable toll on communities throughout the world, and here in Norwood we mourn with the families of those who have died recently at the Charlwell House Health & Rehabilitation Center. On behalf of the entire community, we offer our deepest sympathies to the loved ones and friends who have suffered loss.

It is our understanding that the administrators of the Charlwell House have been in constant communication with the relevant state oversight and health officials throughout this incredibly difficult time. We have been in contact with the administrators of the Charlwell House and continue to offer any assistance we may be able to provide.

We will continue to support the five long-term elder care facilities in Norwood in the coming days and weeks and we ask everyone to please continue to be vigilant with social distancing efforts and good hygiene habits. It has been predicted by federal government officials that these next few weeks could be worse than what we have already seen thus far. We all share in the responsibility of stopping this disease in its tracks.
