Serving the Public
Airport management cooperates with 12 on-site businesses to provide a full range of services such as hangaring, transient aircraft parking and tie-downs.
Maintenance, repairs and avionics are also available from 6 a.m. to 8 p.m., along with both Jet A and 100LL fuels.
Specialized services at the airport include: passenger and freight charter, flight training, aircraft rentals, aircraft detailing, electronic news gathering (Channels 5 and 25), aerial photography, and aerial larvacide applications (Norfolk County Mosquito Control).
The Norwood Airport is available, 'round the clock, for emergency medical transport where, regionally, both air ambulance and inter-hospital organ donor flights often originate. With specialized medical centers located in nearby Boston and New York, Norwood Airport's air transport services can be a life-saver, especially when time is critical.
Norwood Memorial Airport is also instrumental in supporting the region's law enforcement activities. Though no longer based at Norwood, the State Police Air Wing continues to utilize the airport when flying missions in the greater Boston Area.
