For Drone Operators

image002
The use of drones, or unmanned aircraft systems (UAS), has increased dramatically in recent years.

The Norwood Airport operates in controlled airspace, which is governed by the Federal Aviation Administration (FAA). FAA’s web site offers great information on its regulations as they pertain to drones. Also addressed are the airspace authorizations required by FAA before operating a drone in controlled airspace, operating restrictions while in controlled airspace; plus, how to register your drone, the different classes of drone pilots (e.g., recreational versus Part 107), how to become a drone pilot, etc. Click here.
